Bucks Quarterly Meeting was established by Philadelphia Yearly Meeting in 1683. The first business sessions were held in 1684. After the Separation of 1827, there were two Bucks Quarterly Meetings. In 1898, Bucks Quarterly Meeting (Orthodox) was laid down and its members attached to Burlington Quarterly Meeting, renamed Burlington and Bucks Quarterly Meeting. Abington Quarterly Meeting was established in 1786 by Philadelphia Yearly Meeting out of a division of Philadelphia Quarterly Meeting.
